A conversation with Jay Scherder, Senior Communications Manager at the Regional Arts Commission St. Louis (RAC), to discuss the newly developed structure of the organization. The last two years were challenging for all of us including RAC. Most of the funding RAC receives is from St. Louis City hotel and motel tax revenue. With very little travel in the past two years many hotels were left empty so RAC’s funds dropped drastically. Therefore, RAC’s support towards other art organizations were challenged too.
