The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and Powell Hall Celebrate 50 Years Together

    The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and Powell Hall have been making beautiful music together for fifty years! Formerly the St. Louis Theater, Powell Hall was built in the 1920’s as a movie theater and vaudeville house . In the 60’s, it changed ownership and after extensive renovation, it became the new home of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Hear from one orchestra member who has been with the symphony for the entire fifty year-plus period. The milestone of this magnificent pairing is marked with a season long celebration of events.
